The CRN evaluation is required for all DUI offenders in the State of Pennsylvania. The CRN evaluation is a pre-screening tool used to determine if you will be referred for a more comprehensive drug and alcohol assessment. It is also used as a statistical tool for Pennsylvania. The evaluation takes between 45 minutes to an hour.
The fee for the CRN is $80.00 and must be paid at the time of the evaluation (cash, check, or money order) at the DUI Administration office. There is an option to pay online.
A $30.00 no show fee will be charged if you fail to contact the DUI office 24 hours in advance for cancellation or rescheduling of your CRN appointment.
The CRN evaluation for all Montgomery County DUI offenders must be completed in Montgomery County. No exceptions.
If you have completed or are enrolled in a Treatment Program prior to your CRN evaluation, you must still complete a CRN Evaluation because the evaluation is used for statistical purposes.
You must complete a CRN evaluation for every DUI offense you have been charged with.
You will be given a copy of your CRN evaluation results at the time of your appointment. If you are recommended for further assessment, you will be directed to the proper agency.
