Professional Experience

Alicia is a partner in the firm's California office. Alicia advises banks, licensed lenders, sales finance companies, leasing companies, automotive companies, technology providers, and other service providers on a wide range of consumer financial services and data privacy-related laws with a particular focus on motor vehicle financing, motor vehicle leasing, sales financing, consumer lending, electronic commerce, advertising, marketing, vendor and other third party relationship risk management, data privacy and information governance, and other matters involving the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Prior to joining Hudson Cook, Alicia was an attorney with a diverse legal practice in areas including insurance, entertainment, and corporate law. She served as legal affairs counsel for record, production, and re-issue record companies. Alicia has appeared in proceedings in front of United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court.

Alicia was a law clerk with Tillinghast, Licht, and Semonoff in Providence, Rhode Island in 1997. Her areas of law included banking, secured transactions, bankruptcy and litigation support.

Alicia is actively involved in a number of legal associations and is a member of and serves as Vice-Chair of Communications for the California Bar Business Law Section, Consumer Financial Services Committee. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Business Law, Consumer Financial Services Committee; Cyberspace Law Committee; Section of Science & Technology Committee and the Electronic Commerce and Privacy Committee. Alicia serves as an advisor to the Association of Consumer Vehicle Lessors and is a member of the American Financial Services Association, and the Accredited Standards Committee X9, Financial Industry Standards, X9C1-Electronic Contracting Automotive Retail Financing-Originations Task Force. She is also an active member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel, International Association of Privacy Professionals, Direct Marketing Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles Bar Association.

Alicia received her law degree in 1997 from California Western School of Law where she was Staff Writer and Editor of the California Western Law Review. She received the S. Houston Lay Award for Contribution to International Law. Alicia also attended the University of Rome School of Law, International Business Law Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island.
